I offer counseling services to adolescents, young adults and their families. I currently have morning, afternoon, evening and limited weekend appointments available.
Sand Tray Therapy
Sand tray therapy is a non-verbal approach involving the use of miniatures. The design
of the sand tray is guided by the clientʼs imagination and subconscious. The symbolism
and metaphors might not immediately make sense to the individual creating it. With help
from a therapist, the client can begin to notice the relationship between the creation in
the sand and their own inner world.
I use sand tray therapy with adolescents and adults who have a difficult time vocalizing
emotional or traumatic experiences. I also use this approach with clientʼs who express
interest.
Walk and Talk Therapy
I also offer walk and talk therapy as an alternative to traditional in-office therapy. Combining therapy and exercise encourages clients to become more physically active, helps clients get "unstuck" when working through difficult issues, and promotes creative, deeper ways of thinking by connecting with nature and moving. This is also a great option for teens, who may feel uncomfortable or anxious in a traditional face-to-face interaction.

Sliding Scale
I reserve a set number of sliding-scale appointments for clients who have limited resources. If you are in need, please discuss this option with me.
